There is some big news regarding banning Internet sweepstakes Cafes in Florida this week. We saw the raid on an Internet café earlier in the week in California.

The Top USA online websites & American Poker Room review sites have been talking about the Florida Senate passing a bill that would ban USA online sweepstakes cafes in Florida. It appears it is going into law because the vote was 36-4 in favor on banning the online sweepstakes cafes.

This bill puts a ban on how much an USA Internet sweepstakes machine pays out. Many online poker review sites say that the bill limits the Internet café pay out no more than seventy-five cents per spin.

The real issue is how will this affect business such as Chuck E Cheese and Dave and Busters? The good news is that these type establishments will be kept legal, while shutting down the sweepstakes businesses that operate more like casinos than arcades or cafes.

This bill redefines the slot machine essentially in the state of Florida. The online poker review sites say that it includes the slot machines on computers not just land based casinos.

The has been talk in the online poker forums from poker players in Florida that the language of the bill could perhaps make internet poker and online casino games illegal in the state of Florida. American Poker Directory thinks it is best that every poker player, gambler, or anyone should check their own state laws in their respective states.
