California To Legalize Online Poker?

There is a lot of news about online poker over the last week. The first thing is the Wall Street Journal had an article with the headline “PokerStars Dealt Setback In Bid to Enter U.S. Market”. The talk about New Jersey is that Land Casino’s are going to be the only places to have online poker rooms. This means PokerStars would have to buy out a Land Casino in order to obtain an online poker room. Is this going to be difficult for PokerStars to obtain?

This may not be as difficult as it sounds as the Atlantic City Boardwalk has been hit with super storm Sandy. There has been a lot of devistation done to some Land Casinos which means some Casino may want to sell.

On the other side of the United States of America California has been the talk of the online pokersites California has been extremely persistant in trying to legalize and regulate online poker. Many online poker experts have been saying the odds are about 50/50 that California will get online poker legalized in 2013.
